Name: Fairuzza Iphigeania
Race: Khal-Alude-Madeenah
Tribe/Clan/Lineage: Miryu
Age: 18 by Human Standards
Homecoming: 2007
Underworld Year: 10199, in the 4th year under Emperor Melior Atrayus

Race: the Khal-Alude-Madeenah. a populace count that was once around 250,000 was decimated to about 600 after The Great Mercenary Raids.

Human kind would see them as some kind of off-shoot of half-Elves, Fei, and/or Nymph species, for they are bit shorter than humans, having some inherently Elven features. Yet they are taller than elves by just an inch or two.

Their kind dwell in the treacherous northern mountain climbs of Upper Auhm-horeen. Their main stronghold blooms up from the valley between the Verush-Alaya mM0untains on the right and the Pashah-Orveshkoo mountains on the left. Not only do they hold claim to the fertile land of the valley but they’ve also managed to carve themselves right into the living mountain sides that flank them. Their exquisitely intricate architecture pushes up through the stones and , as is common, lush forests encircle both mountain ranges in a ten mile ring of greenery composed primarily of towering redwoods and oaks. The ring is known as the Varookha-Ash-Al-Aahlehn and it is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Many manner of both pixie-kind and monstrosity dwell behind its green tendrils. The natives even claim that it is actually a living thing that is indebted to them and hence has laid her entire body around them as protector.

Their populace is ruled by an elected triumvirate modeled on the structure of their families & village-keeps: Consisting of two matriarch witches and one warlock. Every member of their society meets on the full moon of every month to discuss and vote on various topics. At large, they are perceived as a secretive and manipulative race of proud and haughty intellectuals. Yet as haughty as they may be, this is a race that has outlawed the keeping of slaves or indentured servants. They live in large family groups that even periodically allow non-family–even non Khal-Alude– to join village-keeps in the event that they have something to offer the keep in the way of intellect, expertise and services. The logic is that with a village keep of more than 25-30 souls, who needs servants. Two common sayings of their race: No man is too good to clean his own house and no man is so lowly that a flicker of passion & initiative doesn’t dwell somewhere within him.Tthey are a race known for their unmatched skills as architects, witch doctors, sculptors, professional oracles, jewelers, tailors and political advisors.

Sect/Tribe: Miryu

Family Status: the Miryu sect is of middle to lower nobility, usually serving as trusted advisors/oracles/soothsayers to the wealthy and powerful of the Underworld: always assisting those in seats of power, never directly pursuing power themselves. And they prefer it this way: for they believe that one can get far more things accomplished when all eyes are directed at convenient distractions.

Miryu families are tight-knit, each one developing their own family dialects and secret tongues. Their customs are those of high-class intellectuals that have somehow managed to also retain a very real hold on their spirituality. They are as comfortable at a chess game as they are at a Spring Solstice ritual.

What is left of Fairuzza’s family is presided over by two rather young and powerful witches and one warlock (all of whom are her elder cousins).

The Miryu sect is sought after the world over for their powers of divination and also for their telekinetic & pyrokinetic talents.

Fairuzza’s Outer Veneer…is a deceptive portrait of innocence and sweet youth. She appears as a young woman-child, whose age one can’t quite seem to guess. Yet one knows by observing her that she must be older than some of her features bely. She has the face of girl on the cusp of teenage years, yet her body is that of a woman in both movement and measurement. She is beautiful, beguiling and periodically wise. Her charm is only matched by a certain streak of selfishness that runs along the length of her actions. She knows her knowledge and beauty give her power and she loves nothing more than to exercise that power from time to time. She is gifted with considerable oracular powers and skilled in a wide variety of magics. She is able to set herself into deep trance in order to see aspects of possible futures. Her magical skills also dip into the tantric, for her kind are supposedly descendant from creatures legend calls Succubus or Nymph. The females of her race are well known for a specific defense mechanism that leads the victim into a hypnotic state of hyper sexual arousal. This spell is called the Elorum Veil and is produced by a specific pheromone the Miryu can release at will, causing all those within a four to five foot radius to become so aroused they lose the ability to concentrate on the simplest of tasks and even become highly suggestible.

Prior to the slaughter of most of her family line, she lived a life of relative ease. Already well educated and highly skilled, she was as a much sought-after priestess in the high mountains of her homeland.

After the mercenary raids, it was decided by her elders that she should complete the last of her magical schooling at the prestigious Academy D’ Magicka.

Her mother, father and sisters were all dead… 80% of her entire world was dead and terribly bloody memories seemed to pool around every corner. Fairuzza was reluctant to leave her home for only a short time and then quickly packed all she had left.

During her three year stay at the Academy D’ Magicka she was well liked by most, but also considered a beautiful keeper of secrets. It was whispered that witnessing the slaughter of her immediate family lead her into a bit of ‘The Unhinging’.

This catch all term is used to describe the post traumatic stress disorder that affects an unknown number of survivors of the Mercenary Raids. The disorder causes moments of insanity, delusion, violent outbursts, depression, deviant and abnormal behavior & psychosis.

When Fairuzza first arrived to the Academy she had a particular confrontation with a new arrival that left her to walk alone for weeks. The girl that vexed Fairuzza was from the outer worlds of Koreeno (which were mercifully uneffected by the raids) & she drew particular fun from constantly asking Fairuzza why she hadn’t seen the raids coming. “If your kind are so skilled as oracles I just don’t understand why you didn’t see it coming.” Fairuzza would explain over and over that it had been as if a thick fog covered the third eye of an entire universe for weeks prior. And this was so: Oracles round the realms saw absolutely nothing coming. Not a tarot card foretold it, not rune nor bones nor trance. All things seen at the time were covered in a sort of gauze, through which even vague assumptions couldn’t be made. That should have been everyone’s sign that something full-scale terrible was on the horizon, but it seemed as if the whole world just shrugged off the sneaking suspicion crawling up the collective’s leg. But Elissa would not let up. The final straw was snapped in two when Elissa laughed in Fairuzza’s face & called her tribe a clan of petty charllet0ns that got what they deserved. She then made things worse by daring to poke Fairuzza’s shoulder with one long finger to punctuate her disdain. The air went very still as Fairuzza but lifted her eyes and blinked one time. Elissa’s arm burst into hot blue flames. Flames so hot that no magic could extinguish them completely for thirty minutes. Fairuzza sat laughing in the head mistress’ office, the head mistress yelling at her the whole time. When fairuzza abruptly stopped her laughing, Elissa’s arm ceased to be aflame.

Elissa’s arm survived, but the fingers of her right hand were burned down to the very bones. Even after the finest witch doctors repaired her hand, Elissa complained that her arm still felt as if it were on fire from time to time.

Fairuzza is a character of multiple facets. Despite her grace and she’s beholden to a fetish or two & has a few dark habits that push up from beneath her surface every now and then. At this point, her fancy is tickled by the sinister luster of a young warlock named Mallick Constantine. Over her he holds strange power, for there’s something he can offer her that she simply can not resist and she finds it an interesting test of character to attempt to resist that which she craves most. She is also close to his sister, the bewitching and beautifully exotic Agneshka.

Fairuzza Iphigeania, of the Miryu, arrived to the house of Madame Viollet in the early months of Earth-year twenty ought seven. In the house of Viollet, Fairuzza hopes to find a number of things. Viollet’s skills in the high arts of witchcraft are well known across many realms and Fairuzza longs to be a student at her side. She also hopes to find acceptance and freedom; freedom from the memories that haunted her in the realm of her birth and freedom to just ‘be’. And , of course, she is also looking for a new and permanent place to call home. She doesn’t often admit it but she misses the close knit family she once had and finds herself longing for the sweet warmth a family weaves about itself.
