sewing kira a new outfit:

my kira doll traveled to me all the way from across the world. she arrived in perfect condition and i couldn’t be happier. upon un-tethering her from her case i immediately examined her clothing, took a few picks and then set to the task of disrobing her so i might stare at her anatomy and begin taking measurements for new outfits for her to wear. all dollies that arrive to me are measured the moment the they get through the door and new ensembles find themselves on the drawing board fairly quickly.

kira’s odd anatomy

first off, kira’s anatomy is crazy wild. fully jointed, her body looks as if she’s two or three different dolls assembled together. her head, feet and hands are big as a geffling’s should be, but the rest of her body is relatively small and not the same shade as her appendages or head. her head also sits rather oddly on her neck due to its proportions though this almost isn’t noticeable when she’s clothed. these are probably my only real issue with kira: this lack of skin tone consistency and the wonky proportion of her head & hands make her body a bit tricky to design clothing for….but i eventually pulled it off as you see in the pics. all in all, she’s a great dollie…but be aware of the reality of her body when you purchase her…because she ain’t necessarily barbie-priced.
