the latest off the pixxxie press!

so i’ve been a busy bee lately and there’s more on the way. seems the imriel suit went over very well, so i’ll definitely be remaking a few more of that one.  plus it was just a damn fun suit to create. i may redesign some elements. but i gotta be honest on a point in particular…’ll be lucky if i can find that bright popping blue embroidered trim ever again. that trim was a prized treasure i’ve been doling out slowly to a choice few garments for 3 years or so. i haven’t spotted its like in a fabric store in my radius since ’05 or so. but i’ll keep my eyes open. i’ve got a craft/fabric store sojourn coming up soon, so i’ll be making a brief tour of all the stores in a reasonable distance to see if i can spot it or even something remotely similar in at least color and vibrancy.

thex arkadia & d’na barbaroi also went over swimmingly, but alas, they could very well be more victims of me not being able to find particular fabrics the suits are comprised of: the radiant middle-eastern print fabrics or the black/gabardine pinstripe. again, whether they will ever be created again is a little iffy right now.

…or i may just revamp certain ensembles with new fabric types!

but enough of that…currently on the drawing board: a new suit that slants towards the reds. i’ve got gypsy’s on the brain and gogol bordello & the kocani orchestra on the player. then there’s this black velvet that keeps eying me sideways, its shady friend –the silk doupioni– that rants about how its dying to be a coat lining, a pile of stuff that looks like pleather that keeps telling to make a pair of trousers out of it, the cotton and the faux suedes and not to mention the bottle of pernot i’ve got in the pantry.

..add a pile of runic charm bobbles, some rubber stamps and that look in sasha’s eyes when his head is tilted in the right angle… things could get mighty dangerous… but i’m hoping to off set the calamity imposed by all of these mystical ingredients and at least have 1 new ensemble up on ebay by tomorrow or friday.

the images you see here of the “lo zingaro” suit are very very preliminary. there’s still some adding and some editing as you can see by the presents of my pearl headed straight pins here and there. but i should have it wrapped up tomorrow. keep your fingers crossed.
