What’s currently going on with the Pixxxie Pie Emporium…

Here’s the Spread!

1: In case you didn’t see the previous entry regarding this….The Emporium has sprouted another branch and now offers bjd ensembles and other handmade goodies through Etsy.
Check www.pixxxiepieemporium.etsy.com! Payment is still accepted through Paypal too!

2. The Emporium also listed on eBay today. The following will be up for auction for the next 5 days: Thex Arkadia (with limited edition wooden keepsake box), The Hyborian (simple edition) and The Kadaj Suit (simple edition).

Regarding What’s On The Drawing Board Next:
Also on the drawing board: I’m working on some new bjd ensembles and I’m also cooking up some items for humans. You’ll see an example of a quilt I’m working on below along with a look at the arm warmers and clutch purse I’m currently offering on Etsy.

Regarding eBay and Etsy:
There’s a pretty good chance I’ll begin posting most of my creations on Etsy, since it’s just a great platform and they don’t try to overcharge merchants on listing fees (like eBay). eBay’s listing fees are beginning to make selling through their platform pretty damn cost prohibitive. Then there’s the whole issue with the eBay / Paypal relationship… and how Paypal can decide on whim to hold funds paid to a merchant (over $100) when the merchant is being paid for an eBay auction item.

Paypal doesn’t behave this way with regard to a merchant receiving funds from any other outlet….But when it comes to eBay they can hold funds until delivery of the product is confirmed, or until the buyer decides to leave feedback or (if none of those things pan out) they can hold funds up to 21 days while they wait to see if the purchaser files a chargeback claim. I understand why such rules are in place (as I’ve stated in a previous article regarding this issue: too many shady people on eBay)…But that doesn’t change the fact that money being held for prolonged periods of time can truly be business crippling.

Mind you, I’ve been told that the practice of holding funds would cease once I had a transaction count of 100+ (mine is currently about 76 / 100% positive), but I’ve read of merchants hitting that golden 100+ transaction number and still running into issues where PayPal decides to hang onto their funds. So we’ll see. I still think eBay is a great market place for just about everything under the sun, but the costly politics behind the scenes are making many merchants jump ship for greener pastures. In the end, you may see the Emporium utilizing eBay only once or twice a month and Etsy will now be the constant.

Here’s a look at more items I’ve recently listed on Etsy that are for those of human stature!
