Imriel Nerevar is done and done! Pics taken and processed, slideshow created etc. Now there’s still this chance I’ll take a few more pics of Sasha in this ensemble before some lucky person takes it off my hands so more pics may still turn up. I feel the need to try to take a few more dramatic images. I just had so much fun making this outfit and taking the pics of Sasha in it! I had a bit o’ shaky hand syndrome earlier today so it probably wouldn’t kill me to take a few more pics utilizing a tripod since about 15% of the pics I took weren’t up to par thanks to my unsteady hand today… Which is actually pretty rare. I usually pride myself on not needing a tripod. Take a peak at the slide show or take a trip to my Flickr site to see all the pics nice and big.

Imriel Nerevar was inspired by a few things… And the inspiration probably totally casts the geek spotlight on me but ya know… I don’t really mind… The Nerevar character from the computer RPG Morrowind (love it and recommend it highly despite its age and its followup Oblivion) and the character Imriel from Jacqueline Carey’s Kushiel series of books. Not to mention I’ve made an Imriel ensemble before utilizing black material and jacquard trim, so the moment I started working with oodles of black fabrics, high collars and jacquard trim again I just immediately thought of Imriel again.

I’ll be uploading this ensemble to Etsy in the next couple of hours so stay tuned. A Pixxxie Pie Newsletter will most likely go out right as it is uploaded!

The Imriel Nerevar Suit will include the following pieces:

1 pull-over long sleeved black cotton tunic featuring high collar and jacquard trim at the collar and at the wrists. Tunic is extra long in length for much that medieval look I can’t get enough of.

1 pull-over long sleeved black poly/cotton tunic featuring hand printed graphics on chest and around forearms (yeah, I’m finally coming into this century and actually printed on fabric with high quality acrylic paint. The design on the chest is 3 skeleton keys and around the wrist is something that I like to think looks like a floral design. I like to call this the “Key Shirt”.

1 pull-over long sleeved tunic of birds egg blue cotton.

1 long vest of sumptuous black polyester suede (aka faux suede) edged and hemmed in more deliciously detailed jacquard trim.

1 pair of black floral embossed faux leather trousers. Trousers lace up each side via silver eyelets and black leather lacing is included.

1 pair of blue paisley print polyester trousers. Trousers come with two light blue “cinchers” that go about the ankles to give the trousers a more middle eastern feel. But you can feel free to remove these and just let the bottom of the trousers hang loose.

1 belt fashioned of the same lovely jacquard trim that accents black tunic and vest. Belt is topped off by brown velvet ribbon ties that you’ll have a hard time keeping your fingers off of. You may even be compelled to rub it against your cheek its so soft.

1 belt/sash of deep azure chiffon that’s accented with a gold print design that just pops. It was a material meant for sarees but when I initially wrapped it about Sasha in Indian saree fashion it just didn’t work…then I turned it into a sash and that did the trick.

1 more belt of layered azure chiffon that looks more like a half skirt of some kind. Its made in a free form sort of way and features layers and rather rough edges for added effect. It ties about the waist via blue ribbon and the end of the blue ribbon pieces there are beautiful beads (Czech crystal/glazed ceramic/bone/hematite and other semi precious stones).

1 necklace of silver chain that features a little silver antique style key as the pendant.
