Hmmm. You ever just sat down and wondered to yourself, “Hey, Self, I wonder what Alannah Currie from that 80′s band Thompson Twins is up to these days?” Reminder: For those of you who are too young or just for those that simply aren’t totally up on their 1980′s music facts, The Thompson Twins performed some pretty sweet songs back in the 80′s, namely a classic called Hold Me Now.

We’ll I’ll tell you what she’s up to: magnificent taxidermy art furniture. Under the name Miss Pokeno, Alannah is making very interesting furniture, indeed. Now it’s art installation kind of stuff, not the sort of thing you’ll be picking up for the den. But it gives you ideas, none-the-less. If it weren’t for the four cats in my life, I think a chair constructed of taxidermied foxes would be absolutely practical for my sitting room.

Either way, I love it when people go on to do things you’d never expected of them….ever.If I make any taxidermy furniture any time soon, I’ll be sure to post some pics on yonder blog.
