holy cow. it seems like such a cheese ball expression but its the best i’ve got when it comes the beauty and detail of these dolls. i’m not going to spend too much time here rambling on and on….and heaven knows i’ve got rambling down. suffice to say, if you call yourself a doll enthusiast you need to just go to her site and check out her gallery and such. breath taking doesn’t even come close to describing the beauty that awaits you.
sasha alexzandre has finaly arrived and models a prototype of a new outfit i’m cooking up: (tentatively titled) the maroveck suit. downside, i’m in the process of moving to a new pixxxie pod, so maroveck won’t be released until 2-3 weeks from now. not to mention, sasha’s bigger in size than mallick, so i have to retool a few things with regard to patterns for sasha’s clothing.

all went very well with the layaway plan i opted for through www.dollsandfriends.com. it was a super smooth transaction over all. shipping was very reasonable and damn quick too. leo and kathy are running a tight ship, with solid communication skills…i mean, there wasn’t a single hitch in the entire experience. in the end, i would definitely purchase from the the site again and highly recommend it.
about sasha alexzandre oberon d’un barbaroi:
sasha is an elf doll, rainydoll / standard k and is a gorgeous sculpt (by rainman). quality-wise, he’s top-notch. sewing for him is going to be a blast but will definitely entail retooling some of my patterns a bit: all over, he seems broader than the other boy in my cadre, mallick constantine. slacks i’ve sewn in the past, that have this nice, casual, relaxed fit on mallick, have a much tighter fit on sasha. like disco tight, lol. but i’ll figure it out. despite getting ready to move, like, in four+ days, i’ve decided not to pack up my sewing machine and related supplies until friday. i’m sure i’ll sew up a few pairs of slacks that’ll actually fit him in between here and move day.
